Dear Parents, Guardians, Learners, Educators, and Stakeholders of Ethekwini Primary School,
I am honored to serve as the principal of Ethekwini Primary School, a school that has been an integral part of the KwaMashu community for many years. As we strive to provide quality education to our learners, our school motto, “Khanya lapho ukhona” (shine where you are), serves as a guiding principle in everything we do.
We are committed to creating an enabling and friendly environment that enhances the potential of every learner. Our school’s vision is to be a model school that offers value-based, quality education, and we are working tirelessly towards achieving this goal.
Our partnership with the Cotton On Foundation has been a game-changer in upgrading our school. We now have 14 additional classrooms, an administration block, a tuck shop, a cookery room, and upgraded play areas for both Foundation and Grade R phases. This partnership has enabled us to improve our teaching and learning practices, and the results have been evident in our learners’ academic performance.
As a dynamic school, we are committed to continuously improving stakeholder involvement, professional development, and the integration of technology into teaching and learning. We believe in open communication, accountability, and respect in all our relationships, promoting tolerance and social cohesion.
We are delighted to announce that Ethekwini Primary School is now a fully-fledged primary school that starts from Grade R to Grade 7. We are committed to meeting the educational needs of the KwaMashu community, and we aim to equip our learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their future endeavors.
In conclusion, we welcome you to our school and look forward to working with you as partners in the education of our learners. Together, we can create a brighter future for our children and our community.
Sincerely,
Mr TK Mkhize
Principal, Ethekwini Primary School
